ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This matter is before the Administrative Law Judge Division ("Division") for a contested case hearing
request made by Richard B. Herndon ("Petitioner"). Petitioner requested a contested case hearing
challenging the decision of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division ("SLED") regarding the denial
of Petitioner's application for a concealed weapons permit. Respondent's counsel submitted a letter dated
July 24, 2001, notifying the Division of SLED's desire to withdraw its opposition to Petitioner's
application for a concealed weapons permit. By virtue of Respondent's decision to issue the permit, the
scheduled hearing is not necessary, and this matter is DISMISSED.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the hearing schedule in the above matter for July 25, 2001 is
canceled.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this matter is dismissed.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
