CONSENT ORDER
A SLED agent received a mailing from the Respondent offering the SLED agent the
opportunity to win cash at a drawing to be held at Respondent's video poker location.
Upon entering the location on December 21, 1996, SLED agents observed various patrons
being offered chances for the same drawing, along with the opportunity to participate in a
drawing to win a Mississippi gambling boat cruise. Based on this information, Petitioner
cited Respondent with an administrative violation for violating S.C. Code Ann. § 2-21-2804 (B) (Supp. 1997).
Respondent now agrees to pay a monetary penalty in the amount of One Thousand
($1,000.00) Dollars to the Petitioner for this offense, and agrees not to run this type of
promotion in the future.
I find that the agreement of the parties is a satisfactory resolution of the contested
matter between the parties, is fair and reasonable, and hereby order its adoption.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
