CONSENT ORDER
On July, 26. 1999, an agent for the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division issued a citation against the
Respondent at the premises at 1299 W. Martintown Road, North Augusta, South Carolina for violations of
S.C. Code Ann. §12-21-2804(b). This violation was for "advertising" the playing of video poker machines.
A sign was placed beside the highway and next to the entrance of Legends of South Carolina, Inc. This sign
stated "Blackjack is Back" which prohibits any calling of the general public's attention to the availability of
the video games for play.
Petitioner and Respondent have reached an agreement on this contested matter. Respondent agrees to pay a
fine of $500.00 to the South Carolina Department of Revenue not later than March 10, 2000 and removal of
the offensive sign.
I find that the of the parties is a satisfactory resolution of the contested matter between the parties, is fair and
reasonable, and hereby order its adoption.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
