ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
In the above-captioned matter, on or approximately July 25, 1996, the petitioner advised this
tribunal of the death of the protestant, Samuel McKnight. This tribunal verified this information with
The State, a newspaper of general circulation in the State of South Carolina. As a result, this tribunal
takes judicial notice of the death of Mr. Samuel McKnight. Upon the death of the protestant, there is
no opposition to the petitioner's application, therefore, a hearing is no longer necessary.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the hearing scheduled for Thursday, August 22, 1996 is
hereby canceled.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this matter is dismissed and that the Department of
Revenue and Taxation shall continue to process the application of Dennis Boykin, d/b/a Boykin's
Package Store for a retail liquor license.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
