ORDERS:
ORDER AND DECISION
This matter comes before me pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 1-23-310, et seq. (Supp.
1995) for a hearing pursuant to the application of Allen James, d/b/a Royal Palace. Petitioner
seeks an on-premises beer and wine permit (AI 107827) for a social lounge located at Highway
15 and 301 South, outside the city of Summerton, South Carolina in Clarendon County.
After timely notice to the parties and the protestants, a hearing was held at the
Administrative Law Judge Division on August 6, 1996 in Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. & Mrs.
John R. Clouston, the protestants of record, failed to appear at the hearing or to make a Motion
for a Continuance, thereby, waiving their protests. Therefore, there is no opposition of record to
the petitioner's application.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this matter is dismissed.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Department of Revenue and Taxation continue to
process the application of Allen James, d/b/a Royal Palace for and on-premises beer and wine
permit at Highway 15 and 301 South, outside the city of Summerton, South Carolina in
Clarendon County.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
