ORDERS:
DENIAL OF MOTION TO RECONSIDER
I. Introduction
This motion is a Motion to Reconsider filed by the Greenville Hospital System (GHS) on October 16, 2000. Carolina Orthopaedic
Surgery Center (Carolina) and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) oppose the motion. The
motion is denied.
II. Analysis
A person seeking reconsideration of an order must have standing. Townsend v. Townsend, 323 S.C. 309, 474 S.E.2d 424 (1996).
Standing to seek reconsideration of an order issued by an ALJ in a contested case is granted to "any party." SCALJD Rule 29(C).
Here, GHS is not a party. Further, GHS's motion to intervene as a party has been denied by a prior order. Thus, GHS lacks standing
to seek a reconsideration.
III. Order
Accordingly, GHS's Motion To Reconsider is denied.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
