ORDERS:
ORDER AND DECISION
This matter comes before me pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 61-1-55 (Supp. 1994) and
S.C. Code Ann. § 1-23-310, et seq. (Supp. 1994) for a hearing pursuant to the application of
James W. Sarratt. The applicant seeks an on-premises beer and wine permit (AI 101879) and a
nonprofit club sale and consumption ("minibottle") license for a club located at 621 Airport Road,
within the city of Greenville, county of Greenville, South Carolina.
A Notice of Assignment was mailed to the protestant by first class mail on March 16,
1995. This notice returned to this Division without a forwarding address on March 22, 1995.
An Order and Notice of Hearing was sent to the protestant by first class mail on March
20, 1995 and by certified mail on March 23, 1995. Both notices returned to this Division without
a forwarding address.
After timely notice to the parties, a hearing was held at the Administrative Law Judge
Division in Columbia, South Carolina. Sharon Meinke, the protestant of record, failed to appear
at the hearing, thereby, waiving her protest. Therefore, there is no opposition of record to the
petitioner's application.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this matter is dismissed and that the Department of
Revenue and Taxation continue to process the application of James W. Sarratt for an on-premises
beer and wine permit and a club sale and consumption license for 621 Airport Road, Greenville,
South Carolina.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
