ORDERS:
ORDER DISMISSING APPEAL
Grievance No. Lieber-0362-00
I. Introduction
This matter is an appeal by Wiley G. Ouzts (Ouzts). Pursuant to that appeal, an order dated October 27,
2000 directed Ouzts to file an Appellant's Brief by January 8, 2001. However, no brief has been received as
of the date of this order.
II. Analysis
ALJDTR Rule 65 provides as follows:
Upon motion of any party, or on its own motion, an Administrative Law Judge may dismiss an appeal for
failure to comply with any of the rules of procedure for appeals, including the failure to comply with any of
the time limits provided by this section (VI).
Sparkman has had ample time in which to comply with the order of June 7, 2000. See Georganne Apparel,
Inc. v. Todd, 303 S.C. 87, 92, 399 S.E.2d 16, 19 (Ct. App. 1990) ("There is a limit beyond which the court
should not allow a litigant to consume the time of the court . . . ."). Accordingly, this matter is dismissed for
failure to file an Appellant's Brief.
III. Order
Based on the foregoing, the appeal of Wiley G. Ouzts is dismissed.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED
