ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This matter is before the Administrative Law Judge Division pursuant to the Agency Transmittal Form
filed on December 4, 2000. The South Carolina Department of Insurance ("Department") sought to
impose a $250 fine on Mark Maslich ("Respondent") for Respondent's failure to timely pay the
Continuing Education Fee. Respondent requested a contested case hearing regarding the fine.
A hearing was scheduled to be held on Wednesday, April 4, 2001. On the day of the hearing, however,
the parties and the undersigned participated in a conference call at which time Respondent withdrew his
request for a contested case hearing. Both parties advised the undersigned that although a legitimate
controversy existed between the parties, it was in the best interest of the parties to resolve this matter
without litigation. Respondent, therefore, agreed to sign the Department's consent order and pay the
$250 fine to the Department within thirty days of the date of this order.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that Respondent must execute the Department's consent order and pay a
$250 fine to the Department within thirty days of the date of this order.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that this matter is dismissed without prejudice.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
