ORDERS:
ORDER OF REMAND
This matter is before the Administrative Law Judge Court (“Court”) pursuant to the appeal
of Andre Townsend, an inmate incarcerated with the Department of Corrections (“Department”).
Townsend claims he filed a grievance on April 4, 2004, but never received a response from the
Institutional Grievance Coordinator. Townsend filed his appeal with the Court on May 17, 2004.
On July 6, 2004, the Department filed a Motion for Remand, stating that there had been
difficulties with the response to inmate grievances at Lee Correctional Institution and requesting that
this case be remanded so that the Department can process Townsend’s grievance. Accordingly,
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this matter is remanded to the Department with
instructions that the Department process Townsend’s grievance in this matter within thirty days of
the date of this order.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
