ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This matter comes before me pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. § 1-23-310, et seq. (Supp. 1995)
for a hearing pursuant to the application of Bakulhai Patel, d/b/a Jefferson Food Market. The
petitioner seeks an off-premises beer and wine permit (AI 108803) for a grocery store located
within the city of Jefferson at 105 South Main Street, Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
After timely notice to the parties and the protestant, a hearing was held at the
Administrative Law Judge Division on September 3, 1996 in Columbia, South Carolina.
Reverend Jeff Fox of the Jefferson Baptist Church, the protestant of record, failed to appear at the
hearing or to make a Motion for a Continuance, thereby, waiving his protest. Therefore, there is
no opposition of record to the petitioner's application.
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this matter is dismissed.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Department of Revenue continue to process the
application of Bakulhai Patel, d/b/a Jefferson Food Market for an off-premises beer and wine
permit (AI 108803) for a grocery store located within the city of Jefferson at 105 South Main
Street, Chesterfield County, South Carolina.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
