ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This matter is before the South Carolina Administrative Law Judge Division ("Division")
on the application of Venus R. Johnson, d/b/a West End Grill, for an on-premises beer and wine
permit for West End Grill, located at 742 Railroad Avenue, Bamberg, South Carolina. The
application was protested by George S. Morris, Chief of Bamberg Police Department. After notice
to the parties, a hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, 1998. The protestor failed to
appear at the hearing and his protest is deemed abandoned. The Department indicated that it would
have issued the license but for the protest regarding the suitability of the location.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the above-referenced matter is forwarded to the
Department of Revenue to continue to process the application of Venus R. Johnson, d/b/a West End
Grill. The contested case hearing is DISMISSED.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
