ORDER OF DISMISSAL

This matter is before the Administrative Law Judge Division ("Division") pursuant to Appellant's Notice of Appeal filed May 23, 2000. Appellant appeals his disciplinary conviction of January 12, 2000, requesting restoration of good time credits and reinstatement of his original "Max-Out" date. Appellant, however, was granted parole and released on August 15, 2000. As a result, this appeal is rendered moot. Mathis v. South Carolina State Highway Dep't, 260 S.C. 344, 195 S.E.2d 713 (1973) (An issue is moot when a judgment on the issue will have no practical effect on an existing case or controversy.).

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that this appeal is dismissed with prejudice.

AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
