ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This
matter comes before the Administrative Law Court (ALC or Court) pursuant to the
appeal of Michael Clifton Lewis, Jr. On July 5, 2006, the Department withdrew
its appeal in the case of South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles vs.
Michael Clifton Lewis, Jr. Docket No. 06-ALJ-0175-AP. Upon dismissal of
the Department’s case, the above named case was rendered moot. See Mathis
v. South Carolina State Highway Dep’t, 260 S.C. 344, 195 S.E.2d 713 (1973)
(An issue is moot when a judgment on the issue will have no practical effect on
an existing case or controversy.) Therefore, finding good cause,
IT IS HEREBY
ORDERED that this appeal be DISMISSED.
AND IT IS SO
ORDERED.
