ORDERS:
ORDER OF DISMISSAL
This matter is before the South Carolina Administrative Law Judge Division ("Division")
pursuant to a Petition for Administrative Review filed by counsel for Alvin E. Williams
("Petitioner") on August 5, 1998, together with a Motion for Injunctive Relief and Request for
Expedited Hearing. Petitioner's EMT Certificate No. 81489 was scheduled to expire on August
14, 1998. Petitioner was notified by South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental
Control ("Respondent") that Petitioner's certification would not be renewed as the Petitioner did not
attend the minimum classes for each year of certification. An expedited hearing was scheduled for
August 10, 1998, by Notice of Hearing issued on August 5, 1998 (Docket No.: 98-ALJ-07-0483-IJ).
Subsequently, on August 11, 1998, Respondent filed a Motion to Dismiss with the Division
indicating that Petitioner's recertification was denied in error, and a renewed certificate was mailed
to Petitioner on August 6, 1998.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED upon review of the Division's file, and the pleadings
contained therein, that the above-captioned matter is DISMISSED without prejudice.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
