ORDERS:
CONSENT ORDER
This matter is before me by consent of the parties for entry of a consent order. It arises out of the denial of a
permit application submitted by the Petitioner, G.L. Jackson, to the Respondent, the South Carolina
Department of Health and Environmental Control, Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management
("OCRM"). The application, P/N OCRM-00-304-J, proposed to construct a boat ramp at Lot 5, Palmer
Creek Boulevard, Oak Island, Charleston County, South Carolina. The application was denied on January 3,
2001. The Petitioner requested a contested case hearing before the Division on January 18, 2001.
The Petitioner has submitted a proposal for an alternative project, which would consist of a boat rail instead
of a ramp. A copy of the drawings for the project is attached hereto as Attachment A. This proposal has
been approved by OCRM staff and is in keeping with the provisions and policies of the Coastal Zone
Management Act and the regulations promulgated thereunder.
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that P/N OCRM-00-304-J is hereby issued, allowing the construction of
a boat rail, in accordance with Attachment A.
IT IS ALSO ORDERED that this action is hereby dismissed with prejudice.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
