ORDERS:
ORDER
STATEMENT OF THE CASE
A hearing was held in this matter on December 7, 1995, at the Administrative Law Judge
Division. This Court issued an Order granting the Petitioner, Beverly A. Knaup, an on-premise beer
and wine permit and a club sale and consumption license as a nonprofit organization for the Oakridge
Cafe. Alfred F. Harrison, who protested the issuance of the permit and license, made a Motion for
Reconsideration or Rehearing contending that he never received notice of the hearing. Mr. Harrison
asserts that Ms. Simmons of the Division informed him that the hearing "had not been scheduled yet
due to a backlog of cases." However, the Division's records indicate that notice of the hearing was
sent to Mr. Harrison at 7058 E. Constellation Drive, N. Charleston, South Carolina 29418. That
notice was not returned to the Division. Furthermore, the Division does not have an employee named
"Simmons."
ORDER
IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the Protestant's Motion for Reconsideration and Rehearing
be denied.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
