ORDERS:
CONSENT ORDER
This matter is before me by consent of the parties for entry of a Consent Order. The
contested cases arise out of a permit, which was issued by Respondent, South Carolina Department
of Health and Environmental Control, Office of Ocean and Coastal Resource Management (OCRM),
to the Respondent, Scott Veitch. The permit allowed for the construction of a private, recreational
dock (OCRM-02-342-R), at the terminus of Jack Leland Drive, Stratton Place, Mount Pleasant,
Charleston County, South Carolina. The permit was appealed by the Petitioner. No party has
moved to intervene.
The parties having resolved their differences, they hereby agree to the following:
1.Permit number OCRM-02-859 will be amended to allow for the construction of a
dock, to access the smaller tributary of Porcher Creek. The dock shall be constructed so that it
reaches the tributary at the shortest feasible distance, in any event not to exceed 50’ in length. The
dock shall be constructed within the Respondent’s lot lines, as indicated in the drawing attached as
Exhibit A.
2.The dock shall be approved in the field prior to construction.
3.All of the remaining special conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
4.The parties agree that this order is binding on the parties heirs and assigns.
THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED that permit number OCRM-02342-R is hereby amended
as set forth above and that this case is dismissed with prejudice.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
